Job Description

Woodcrest Country Club in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking an experienced Lead Line Cook looking to train into the next step as Chef.  This candidate will collaborate with the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage showing creativity, familiarization with the latest food trends for our Bar 1929 craft eatery and assist with banquet event meal preparation.

Requirements

Qualifications and Desired Competencies/Attributes include:

At least 2 years of culinary experience - Experience in High Volume establishments, Fine Dining, or Casual Fine Dining preferred, but not required. Flexible scheduling is required based on Clubs needs
Strong communication skills with all staff including but not limited to Line Cooks, Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Wait Staff, and Manager on Duty
Ability to adapt and able to understand various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures including but not limited to menu-specific items, measurement requirements and thermostat control and regulation
Experience in food preparation for service needs and maintaining assigned station
Ability to inventory product, with working knowledge of stocking system for storerooms, coolers, and kitchen equipment
Quick thinking ability to handle special dietary requests and concerns
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
